How are they made?
You might wonder how a spiky cactus can become such a charming and delicate jewel.
The secret lies in the cactus' inner parts. When segments of the cactus naturally dry, and all the soft parts are slowly vanishing, then eventually only the sturdy skeleton remains. And this skeleton has a beautiful intricate structure, just like lace. These lace-like parts are what we use, to turn them into beautiful accessories for you.

Our names are Adrienn and Abel Bartolich. We both have a deep love for nature. We believe that living a simple and slow life close to nature has an unsurpassable value. This opens the way to creativity which is a vital element of our lives. To create something of meaning with our minds and with our hands, it is our overpowering necessity - and this is how our jewellery was born.
Interesting facts about prickly pear cactus
Travelling through the Mediterranean countryside, prickly pear cactus plants are not an unusual sight at all. In Malta, this kind of cactus has been used for centuries as a natural fence that keeps in livestock and marks the boundaries of family land. Also it gives farmers and fields some protection from strong wind.
