Our handmade artisan jewellery are made from various non-precious materials such as brass, copper, glass, minerals, semi-precious stones, and plant fibers. We use silver sparingly, with a maximum of 3g per piece for certain items. Some of the copper and silver we use are 100% recycled. Committed to protecting the environment, we strive to use recycled or natural materials wherever possible, both in our raw materials, metalsmithing processes and surface treatments. Detailed information about the materials used in each piece is provided on the product page of our website.
To maintain the beauty of your handmade artisan jewellery, store it in a dry place, preferably in a closed jewellery box or the original packaging to protect it from humidity. Avoid wearing your jewellery in the bath, shower, swimming, during exercise or while sleeping, to prevent tarnishing and damage. Clean your sea glass pieces with a soft cloth, and if needed, use a mild soap and lukewarm water for metal parts, followed by thorough drying. If your jewellery is made with cactus fibre, please never soak the fibre in water. Always handle the metal parts with care, because although they are work-hardened, if force appled they can be bent or dented. For more detailed care information, please visit our Care Instructions page.
Sea glass is originally glass from human-made items like bottles, tableware, that ended up in the sea many years ago as trash or sometimes from shipwrecks . Over time, the waves and sand naturally tumble and smooth these glass pieces, giving them their characteristic frosted appearance and rounded edges. This process can take several years, or even decades. Many sea glass pieces spend even longer time in the sea before they reach the shore and a collector picks them up. Some rare pieces are 100-200 years old. Genuine sea glass often has unique shapes and sometimes retains inscriptions or patterns from its original form. Each piece is a testament to its journey through the sea, making it a beautiful element in our handmade jewellery.

Our cactus jewellery are unique pieces of handmade artisan jewellery made from the inner fibres of the prickly pear cactus, a plant well-known in the Mediterranean region. In our process of creating these jewellery the first step is carefully cleaning, cutting, and treating the dried cactus pads, which reveal layers of intricate lace-like structure. Each piece is hand-painted and assembled with great attention to detail, ensuring that every jewellery is one-of-a-kind. The natural beauty and resilience of the cactus are showcased in these exquisite designs, making them both durable and visually stunning.
For more information, you can visit our “Cactus Jewellery” page.
The inner fibres of the prickly pear cactus, which are naturally delicate, undergo a meticulous multi-step treatment process in our hands to enhance their strength and durability, making them a key component of our artisan jewellery creations. While these earrings are crafted to be durable, we acknowledge that they are not indestructible. However, the special preparation process we use greatly enhances its durability. Since we first worked out our method and began to create cactus jewellery in 2014, we have never had reports of damage from normal use. The only instance of a cactus earring breaking was when it was accidently chewed by a dog. Apart from this occasion, many of our clients report that they have been wearing our unique cactus jewellery even years after purchasing. This attests to the lasting quality of our handmade jewellery when used as intended.
