Delivery informations

Our products are divided into two main categories with different delivery policies:

  • Handmade products – This includes all Artisan Jewellery and Art items, such as our Copper Etching Prints, created and shipped directly from our artisan studio in Malta.
  • Print-on-Demand (POD) products – This includes all T-shirts and other printed products, designed by us and produced by our regional printing partners.

These two categories have different delivery policies. Handmade products are shipped to fewer countries than POD products, as we strictly comply with all legal requirements for product distribution, and not every country is currently authorized for handmade product sales. We are continuously expanding our list of supported countries as we complete the necessary registrations and compliance procedures.

If your order contains both Handmade and POD products, they will be shipped separately from different facilities. As a result, shipping fees are applied separately and cannot be combined into a single shipping cost.

If you attempt to place an order for a country where Handmade products are not available, but your cart contains both categories, the transaction will not be possible. In such cases, please remove the items that cannot be shipped to your destination country before completing your purchase.

Handmade Products

All handmade products — including Artisan Jewellery and Copper Etching Prints — are shipped directly from our artisan studio in Malta.
Orders are prepared and dispatched within 1–2 business days (time to hand over to the postal service).
We use MaltaPost for all shipments, and every package is sent as a registered shipment with tracking.
Once dispatched, you will receive the tracking number and a direct tracking link via email.

Please ensure that you provide your correct postal address — including your name, building name/number, floor and flat number (if applicable), street name, town, postal code, and country — to avoid any delivery delays or returns.

All packages are shipped in secure, protective packaging. We guarantee that your order will arrive intact. If your package arrives damaged, please contact us immediately so that we can arrange a replacement or refund.

    Our annual packaging placed on the Dutch market is below the 50,000 kg threshold; therefore, registration and reporting are not required.

United Kingdom (UK)

  • Customs handling: Orders under £135 (total paid) are VAT-inclusive and clear without additional customs charges. Orders over £135 may incur import duties payable by the customer.

  • Invoice handling: A copy of the invoice is attached to the outside of the package in a secure document sleeve, and a digital copy is emailed to you after dispatch for customs purposes.

United States (US)

  • Duty:
      • Handcrafted copper jewellery – 11% + approximately $5 administrative handling fee
      • Handmade copper etching print – free of customs duty

  • Import duties: Based on current HTS classifications (hts.usitc.gov):

    These amounts are preliminary estimates. The final duties and handling fees are calculated by US Customs and USPS upon import and are payable by the customer at the time of delivery. These costs are not included in the order total at checkout.

Print-on-Demand (POD) Products

Our Print-on-Demand (POD) products — such as T-shirts and other printed items — are designed by us but produced and shipped by our trusted regional partners.
For all orders, we route production to the facility closest to the delivery address.
This approach reduces delivery times, lowers shipping costs, and ensures customs-free delivery within the EU, UK, and US.

Shipping Costs and Estimated Times

  • EU: €5 – 5 to 10 business days
  • UK: £3 – 2 to 3 business days
  • US: $5 – 2 to 5 business days

Packaging

All POD products are shipped in plain grey plastic packaging for durability during transit. Please open packages carefully and avoid using sharp tools or knives that could damage the product inside.

Damaged Packages

If your package arrives damaged, please contact us immediately at info@bartoart.com. Include clear photos of the outer packaging and the damage.
You may choose between a refund or a replacement product after we review the claim.
