About the Print

Created by artist Abel Bartolich, this limited edition copper etching print revives a rare 18th-century technique. Using Blake’s relief-etching method, each piece is acid-etched into copper, inked in relief, and hand-pressed on a traditional roller press. Every print carries a deep tactile impression on 300 gsm cold-pressed cotton paper, using archival black letterpress ink. This artwork is sold unframed.

The artwork was mirrored and transferred onto the copper plate, then redrawn with my custom acid-resistant ink.

Named Touch for the octopus’s extraordinary sense of feel: eight hypersensitive arms, thousands of suckers, and a distributed nervous system that solves complex tasks with uncanny finesse.
