About me
My name is Adrienn Bartolich. With my husband we live on the sun-bathed and windswept island of Gozo, which is the sister island of Malta. I have always had a special attachment to nature, and from the moment we first traveled to the sea when I was 12, I fell in love with it. Right then I knew for sure where I belonged. From my early childhood I loved drawing and doing crafts, I always experimented with different materials and methods of making things from every possible humble material. Although life took me on a different path for many years, eventually I found my way back to creating. Since 2014 I have worked as a jewelry designer and metalsmith, and in 2021 I began studying arts. Not surprisingly my main subject is the sea, and I use mostly oil as a medium to capture the movements and reflections of the ever-changing sea surface and the enchanting life beneath. Through my paintings, besides expressing my passion, I wish to raise awareness of the significance and vulnerability of the most magical component of our planet: the Sea.
